Yeah so that's what I'm after , a shift rod that goes inside the long tube from a 62-67 model.
if anyone has one it will help out greatly.

I'm after a long axle box from a 1500 beetle or type 3 to do a straight axle conversion .
Is there any out there ?
if so what condition & how much ?
even just the axles & tubes would be a great start

As usual just after wrecking and disposing of a kombi I work out what I actually wanted to keep off it
I'm after a rear cut and am quite happy to come and cut it out of a wreck
