Put the new fan in today and it runs fine. If anyone wants the old fan (VW part number 191 959 455 T) to take it apart and try and restore it, its free to a good home. It runs fine electrically, but the bearings are shot and it doesn't spin freely. Someone might want to open it up, but I don't know ...

The lows are coming (hopefully on a fast ship/plane from the USA)

Don't like much bigger than 15's on Mk2's, but this looks good on the 16" D90s

Also got a chance to measure my wheel bolts with the new wheels on. need about 10mm longer for full thread engagement + add the width of any spacer.

Had a metal on metal sounds coming from the the rear passenger side wheel the last few days, so took it all apart and had a look on Friday. The wheel bearings were loose and the rotor had a couple of mm's movement in it and was rubbing on the brake pad carrier! I had some new febi bearings laying ar...

That makes sense! On closer inspection I think it looks a bit odd because the rim sits fully inside the guard, not flush or wider than it. Can't find a rear shot to check the width though.

Got a Thule bike rack for the Golf now to cart around my pushies.

Also got rear ended in a carpark sometime in the last 2 days. Not much damage, but the bumper has warped a little and has a few scratches Wish cars left DNA at the scene of the crime.
