No shortage of shops on the west coast that would change the wheels out on a ride and raise it up. Shit id fly over and do it myself, put some long shocks to prop the suspension up where it once was and take some photos. I would not bring in a car that I hadnt been to see myself. $1000 return melbur...

The torque meister tool is one of the best tools you can buy if you mess about with early VW's... getting drums off a trans that have been pulled without cracking the hub nuts flywheels off short blocks for the same reason!! and basically undoing both of the above without having to use a 3ft length ...

The VW show was in Miki.

The other flat 4 store is in Kyoto... cool little place, and the smallest VW workshop ive ever seen!!

That VW show was a fun show to attend. Took me about 3 hours, on 4 trains. Started with the Shinkansen (bullet train) and the last one was a little one, the size of an old melburg tram, with an honour system to pay the fare. A lot of US import cars in Japan, but those guys have style above and beyon...
