Massive shout out to nord berg, D-train, Dugong and especially the old man for all thier contributions.
Massive effort and great result.
Just found this thread again no problems Rooster as i told you before you were lucky i am honest and gave you the bus back, love it proud to be a part of its rustoration.
Here is a pic for comparison i have a shit load of pics if you want me to post a few up.
Andrew i am back over your way and am here for the winter now. Will give you a blast if we are heading your way and vice versa would be good to catch up.
Lewis i only got a few weeks at home so was a bit of a blur, caught up with Dion and Macca a few times so was good, hopefully get home again sooner and longer!
Darren post any pics up for sure, some before and afters are always good!
Nice new project, looks rusty?
Any way some pics of some of the work needed on the 57. Someone in the past decided to weld in this slotted box section to replace the inner sill, this proved to be a great idea as it helped save the original outer sill and that meant the original paint was able to be saved as it was still rust free.
Few more, it was a big job much bigger than the pics show but for me it was worth the effort, not so much for the car but for the reactions from Scott and his old man, great people and a pleasure to meet and help out with this bus.
Underside got a rough paint job in rust bullet, nightmare of a job
Cheers, personally i like the whole car, the stance is right everything just seems to work on it, i am not really a fan of BRMS on buses because they have a really shit offset but they work on this bus
Glad you put some Pics up Darren. The work you did was awesome and a huge effort. Hopefully will see some more projects from you in the future and this one didn't burn you out
I am not a fan of BRM's either and wasn't sure about them but they have sought have grown on me.... someone said it looks like a cheap hooker with expensive earings which is about right.
Back to stockies next time i am home. definately more tuck.
So me and the boys have been hassling the old man to narrow his beam for ages and always met with the same response " if i wanted a poor mans pommy pos splitty van i'd buy one"
