Moz's wanted thread updated 10/08

Post by Megalania »

Hi guys,
thought I would start a wanted thread for small bits and pieces I need that are not worth the freight from overseas and can probably fit in a normal or bigger than normal envelope.

I need for my 57 oval bug :-
8 x shims for a link pin
1 x steering box clamp
2 x hex locking nuts for the trailing arms

Thanks and feel free to post with your small requests

i was about to put an order through CIP and just campers but I thought I would check if anyone has some bits laying around that they might want to flip for cash. I am hoping to stimulate the local economy before paying all the freight costs.

I need :
Complete set of tie rod ends -outer left, outer right, inner left and inner right
Single circuit master cylinder.

Thanks

Maurice

Guys I am after a 1964-67 Type 2 nose cone & hockey stick so I can mount the 64 box to my oval. Also after a pitman arm that has the smaller shaft hole as I have a 60s steering box on the oval but the larger hole pitman arm

Anyone have any front hubs to suit the oval? I purchased new bearing but then I pulled the old ones out they had been run dry and the inner seats are pretty much welded to the hub. Have spent a fortnight on them trying to get them free and still no luck.

So if anyone has a pair that would be great.

I used a dremel with a cuting disk but it tool forever to make any type of cut. ended up getting a set of punches with a bigger point and soaked them in start ya bastard. They came out then after some persuasive hammering
