Thales (Bendigo Factory) end of year car show

Post by Phat Bug »

Each year at work we always have a large BBQ/booze up on the last day, this year we thought it would be cool, being there is sooo many car guys at work we'd organise a show 'n' shine. One trophy, General Managers choice..........

Danny (2Dots) Brought along his son Jack's (The Prospect) fasty....
Image

Jimmy (Fingers) has been working hard getting his latest project sorted, a '39 Vauxhall, only got it rego'd yesterday, damn things been lowered 6in....
Image

Damn clean early Supra....
Image

One of our mate's Matty brought along his stupid clean XU1...
Image

Look out it's the Bandit......

Awesome custom postie...

Early '70's Mustang.........
Image

'34 Buick, just been finished, got V12 power...
Image

Cool patina'd HQ (just needs the treatment)....
Image

Original paint FJ....
Image

'37 ford(apologies for language) roadster ute....
Image

'48 Chev ute....
Image

My boss's '67 Camaro, been building it for many years, all body and paint done at home by him, only got rego'd yesterday in time for the show....

OG paint, aussie delivered '56.....
Image

Some of you may have seen this at Rancho early in the year, Built from scatch at home in a single garage over the last 10 years, got some silly turbo'd Toyota donk in it, weighs in at 700kg, A missle with 4 wheels. Full ADR compliance, 1 of 1 Hellcat......

This is what took home this trophy, Timmy's '57 Chev....

You're kidding me aren't you?

Did Stratty really get his Camaro done? Tell him I said it looks great.

And Rowdy Ronny Hayes' car...... hmmm, I must say it did turn out a thousand times better than I thought it would especially when I saw it half done. Not bad at all, and I bet it goes alright too!

Good times

Nice collection of cars there... I have often thought about doing a car show here... you have inspired me to do a similar thing and make it our christmas BBQ event for 2012.

Won't be quite as much fun as our orange cannon, but will be far more acceptable to the OHS fun police

Thats bizarre Rhett. When I first strted my apprenticeship I had no licence, so I bought a postie bike. I painted it schwarz with silver skull and crossbones. Not the same one, but damn close.

DC's must think alike.

Haha,
The dude with the postie is the head of the IT department, he's got a stack of them.

There could've been heaps more cool rides there but alot of guys are either un-social and just piss off home, or would rather get on the piss than drive.
