Great day. A bit chilly in the morning, but it warmed up nicely

I wish I could share my photographic memory with you.......If only you could get inside my mind.

Got a few pics that I will post up tomorrow. Was a crisp morning, we were welcomed by the first practice run of the day, being an MG Midget getting sideways around the first bend and banging into the guard rail over the creek crossing. Sparked up the stove and grill and, thanks to Hertz, we fed ourselves on kranskys and Viennese sausages in bread whilst we settled into watching a range of cars - MG's, Audi TT RS, three open wheel hot rods with thumping V8's, a 911, a fat chick, Renault alpines to name a few. A local kangaroo also gave the track a run as well!

Should have some vids care of Tonz and his flaccid 8.3m pole! Also, can still here the commentator waffling on........

Thanks for a good morning, good to get out for a cruise too, awesome scenery along the way and a cool road through the Christmas Hills. 5 VW's in total.

In the meantime, a short vid of the trip there.

No dramas Tonz, always good to represent Luft! I reckon the September event will be good if a few beetles take to the track. Josh's suggestion of an afternoon at weiss Rabbit in Healesville would make for another pretty cool cruise and catch up.

great great morning. Heading out in the minus 5 frost past the hot luft balloon landing. Then the fun climb into the hills to the track.

A fun few hours watching as the track got faster and faster. Thanks guys for the laughs, and company.

I didn't take any footage........I always do that....I walk around with a camera, but never use it.

Tony's 8 meter Gopro pole was a good idea at the time, but with the amount of flex in it, was not good in practice.
Here is some of Tony's footage.
