Post by buk »

hi guys

found a picture of a mk1 ( at least thats what i think it is) golf with a ragtop clip in it.
Was that a factory option?
or grafted from something else?

Most likely a Webasto or Britax

I'd say the metal one is the only OG one.

Got any pics of that?

Really want that copper coloured car. Does that have the metal sunroof?

I'm sure you could get the ragtop to fit something else, but you can still buy them new, so I'm not sure it's worth the effort?

Just get the Golf and drive that instead!

New Ragtops for Bugs: http://www.sunroofsource.com/vw-beetle- ... ng-ragtop/

Or if you're looking to put a ragtop into something more modern, a few guys have grafted rags from Polo Open airs into Mk3 Golfs:

My bro had an aftermarket britax ragtop in his 77 Golf. It was pretty sweet but definitely not OG
