He wants to do some pretty hardcore saving then - You would be looking at around 20 to 30k (maybe more) to get something close to that.

To get a set of BBS RS (in 4x100 for the early Golf's) you are lucky to find em here in Aus, so may have to import them. And then they are likely to need reconditioning. Budget at around $2,500 for the wheels alone. Good news is - they are 3 piece and the outer lips can be purchased in inox stainless steel, so hold a brilliant shine and punish gutters instead of taking a beating.

The seats this guy has used are the Porsche GT3 reclining race seat - $$$

And as for stuff like new window rubbers - not sure who would do that stuff. Can't imagine that it is easy to get hold of.

But - his tastes are on the right track though! He could still build something that had an awesome Euro/Oldskool feel for 5 to 10k.

a friend sent me this info..
if you ride a bike take note..

A picture is worth a thousand words.

The Honda rider was travelling at such a 'very high speed', his reaction time was not sufficient enough to avoid this accident. Swedish Police estimate a speed of ~250 KM/h (155 mph) before the bike hit the slow moving car side-on at an intersection. At that speed, they predicted that the rider's reaction time (once the vehicle came into view) wasn't sufficient enough for him to even apply the brakes. The car had two passengers and the bike rider was found INSIDE the car with them. The Volkswagen actually flipped over from the force of impact and landed 10 feet from where the collision took place.

All three involved (two in car and rider) were killed instantly. This graphic demonstration was placed at the Stockholm Motorcycle Fair by the Swedish Police and Road Safety Department. The sign above the display also noted that the rider had only recently obtained his license.

At 250 KM (155 mph) the operator is travelling at 227 feet per second. With normal reaction time to SEE-DECIDE-REACT of 1.6 seconds the above operator would have travelled over 363 feet while making a decision on what actions to take. In this incident the Swedish police indicate that no actions were taken.
In other words, they didn't even have time to say, 'Oh, ####!'

This seems a little odd...
With the 2 vehicles this closely meshed and mangled...

How did they remove the 3 dead bodies without having to cut it all apart, then to put it on show have it all in "one piece" again? At least without people noticing a distressing odour??? Hmmmmm...
