The mechatronics is just the brains of the DSG system. I don't get why everyone says the gearbox needed rebuilt. Yes the bill is usually around the $7000 mark but were your cars not covered under Volkswagen warranty If they were >100,000kms?

It started life as a microbus.

It has an aluminium beam with rack and pinion steering for its centre seating position.

The chasis is custom, shortened and lifted 100mm after the cab. It still runs a kombi torsion rear with a vw auto.

It's pretty clever, but not really my thing.
