Thanks for the clarification Steve. Yes I need the short end castings, as i want to bring the wheels further inwards on my type III. Thus I need beetle stuff, with the shorter end castings. I have access to shorter axles, but they are in Adelaide, so somewhere in melburg, would be easier, but not ne...

Give the car to the seller, as roadworthied,

take a major deposit for anything he wants changed, and he can return it later,

or he can change the wheels out front of your place, before he takes off, *AFTER* the sale is done.
