Hi guys.

Would love to get my hands on a 'Fram orange oily thing a majig'.

Did that last guy get one?

I saw all the reference to CP1 and them not being available anymore.

Let me know if someone has one kickin around.

I think you'll be paying anywhere from $150 to $200 for a later (mid 60's) NOS one. Earlier more expensive. The trick is finding the fittings. I think Mr Wob may make them, as he also makes the copper coil coolers and fittings, but you'd have to ask.
I asked Mr Okrasa and he has none.
There was a guy on The Samba selling the whole lot but I think it was nearly $350 which is pretty high...

some bargains can be found on international ebay just expand your search outside VW try Jeep etc as they had them as stock.

Doesn't look right?

Its an oil filter but has a different set up filters straight from top to bottom no fittings on cannister different lid and cannister looks to be a different size?

You should be able to use it or adapt it.
Im just not sure if its a Fram but its definately not the same as the ones you see used on VW's and Porsches.
Someone else might be able to shed more light?

Sorry mate i didn't look close enough to the add it does look different (both input and output from bottom) to the usual (input top side output bottom) i believe it is a Fram but maybe a an H filter or even a Mann.

Don't stress to much as i agree with Jase you should be able to adapt it...

speak to Anton about it its all about flow rates and oil pressure which can be done by regulating the copper tube diameters.

It does have the correct Bracket though and not all filters had the wing nut on top.

and for the price its a good buy.
