Need a tow - Sydney - Camperdown to Campbelltown

Post by benjicon »

Hey guys,

I need an urgent hand towing my beetle from Camperdown to Campbelltown, tomorrow morning would be ideal, if anyone has a truck or a trailer and help me please give me a shout.

Alternatively, if you know a good towing company that wont rape my wallet, let me know.

PM me or call on 0 4 1 6 9 6 1 5 1 9.

Thanks Ben.

P.S. WILL PAY $$$

G'day Dan,

Thanks mate, I hunted around online yesterday, trolling through all sorts of foreign car forums, found a thread where a bunch of guys were recommending a guy called "Ian Johnson" of Ian Johnson's Towing, gave him a call, gonna do the job for $200 ... I thought that was pretty decent cause some places were trying to charge $350-400.

If any one is interested his number is 0423 566 766.

All going to plan, the beetle will be on the road this weekend, its getting towed out to the guys at RAW today to have the engine dropped and new clutch put in.. Been painfully slow waiting to get it done, walk to the garage every night and start it up for 10 minutes to keep it running.. In the home stretch now :)

Hope it all goes smoothly for you mate. Have you had work done by RAW before? They're a great pair of blokes to deal with.

Kris.

Hey Kris,

Yeah Adam and Mike have pretty much been the only guys I have gone too.. They got me on the road and helped me with the blau slip once my car arrived here from SA. I only went to one other place and I learnt my lesson.. never again.

They are a fair hike form my place, but well worth it. They called me this afternoon after my car was dropped to them, told me I can collect tomorrow afternoon .. 24hrs turn around on a clutch replacement and machining. Nice.. :)

good to hear Ben...

you should also investigate getting NRMA premium roadside...

it will pay for itself in the first tow from camperdown to cambeltown...

Also essential for any roadtrips

Ben, the NRMA roadside service is a good thing. I've gone for the premium deal and it's paid for itself. Did have a young fella from the NRMA show up once. Sure the car was way older than him and we got it towed but did have an old bloke come once who had grown up dubs. Got me sorted in a flash. Did get quoted $400 to get a tow across town so the roadside deal is well worth it. Adam and Mike are top blokes.

Thanks guys,

I will surely be tempting fate if i dont sign up to NRMA now after all your recommendations :D

But yeah i do agree its a smart idea, hopefully after the new clutch goes in I'll be able to drive it regularly on the "road" ... thereby necessitating "roadside" assistance. :P

Could today go an effin slower!! :x
