Picked this up on ebay last week for the princley price sum of $700.
Currently in transit from WA, cost of tow $700
Has a couple of issues to sort out.
First its had a new throttle body fitted by the owner but he didnt program it to the ECU so it flashes a CEL now and again.
To fix this I bought a factory SAAB tech 2 so I can calibrate it, as well as do a bunch of other stuff. Cost for that $450
Also picked up a CANBUS adapter so I can do my own ECU tune..$100
plus downloaded a tonne of free software that the swedes have develpod for these things for free, so I can read, tune and flash the ecu, as well as the factory parts and workshop software from an old work mate at a well know Saab dealership around the traps.
Plans are to get it on Vic rego (had a months WA reg left) then throw in some Eibach springs, and have a bit of fun f#*king around with it.
Always loved these, so thought why not. Not everyones cup of tea, but for not much money they are a whole lot of car.

I missed a 9-5 wagon 2 weeks ago on gumtree. Had aero wheels and spoilers, and only 90,000kms. Sold very quick at $1500. They come up all the time, just have to be watching every day and ready to pounce. I got lucky on this oneSpike wrote:Nice bit if kit there mate. Been looking lately and there are a few out there but not for that sort of coin. Very nice pick up.

Not too bad. Good and bad points. Leaky sump turns out to be a rear main I think. Not ideal, but not the end of the world. Fixed throttle body issue by resetting it and reprogramming the ecu. Was low on boost, so I replaced a couple of vacuum hoses that seems to have fixed it. Must say it drives and handles unreal
