Ride Height Help...

Is there anyone in Sydney that can give me a hand?

Basically I need to adjust the height of my car as it's out of whack. The back has settled even lower than before and getting in/out of my driveway is a hassle. It needs to go up a tad. Also the front needs to go down by about the same amount I think as it sits too high.

I was wondering if anyone can help me out with this? I can exchange beer or equivalent for said services! I'm willing to do the work myself, just really need someone to give me some guidance.
Please let me know if you can help. Looking to get it sorted as soon as possible so all is good for Berry Blast.

Cheers

i'm in the same boat, can i come and watch?

this has been discussed here
http://melburgluft.com/viewtopic.php?t= ... highlight=

the most common response is to watch the youtube videos and give it a go yourself. but i can understand, it would be nice to have someone with some experience handy, even if they were not doing the work

good luck :)

Yeah, I have noticed the standard response is "watch the videos", but I also think it'd be good to maybe make a day of it, get a few cars together and do everything in one hit with an "expert" to lend bit of a hand. Have some beers etc at the same time.

Most of my friends are smart, they're not really into cars :?
So I can't really rely on their help with this.

Anyone on the luft feel like lowering their car? Maybe we can pool resources.

Just start doing it....It will all fall into place, and remember you can always bail out halfway if you think you're in too deep. BUT YOU WILL END UP DOING IT!

Definitely going to give it a crack. Just wanted to see if anyone else on the luft wanted do theirs at the same time so we could help eachother, otherwise I'll be doing the work on my own which isn't exactly the ideal situation.

Can't actually get my car out of the driveway anymore, it's 5cm off the ground :?

Honestly, doing the work on your own is much better, you think clearer and can work stuff out better

was just as easy as all you lads said, i would never have done it myself if you guys did not push me

watch the videos a couple times with a few mates then talk them into helping out, its pretty straight forward, as was said before once you get the car on the jacks and take off the wheels its pretty straight forward on the type 3s

this is the first car i have ever owned and i was not too sure at the start, feels pretty rewarding to know that the reason i now hate speed humps is my own doing but hey i like the look alot better

from now on ill try alot more things myself on the car and i learned something i can do in a couple hours when ever i feel like a diff look

give it a go mate

If you can do it, (and you can), once you are finished, report back here to this thread, and I will be making it a sticky in the Slam and Spead section, so others can gain inspiration (or a set of balls ) and maybe try stuff themselves. It is a rewarding skill to learn for yourself.
