Thanks boys, she's got a few gremlins, just replaced one rear door handle, gave her a bath and started a cut n polish. Need some outer and inner trim, thremo fan, head lights and wipers don't work, looks like it's had the dash out at some stage and not put back in properly. Pretty damn stoked with it other wise. Jase I will take you up on your offer after she's roadied i reccon. mmmmmm benders improvements.... 8) 8) 8)

Cheers boys, having heaps of fun with this thing already. The thremo fan is working now and I have headlights, big thanks go out to my good mate Rod (the drunken ford(apologies for language) fan) for choppin me out tonight. No mk1 talk here, think Jase might have had one too many salitos!

Nice one Paul. Don't know my early golf models too well but that looks great. Love the color. Is it a 91?

et38 will rub on the strut towers. Make sure you go for a et25 on a 7" rim.

Need to order a left hand front window mechanism and possibly a wiper stalk otherwise I think she's about ready for her roady RWC. Right hand rear door has had a hit and a dodgy repair so the paint ain't crash hot but otherwise its coming up a treat.

So a little more work has been going on, mostly electrics. Little bit of confusion between myself and a young fella working for a parts stor in NSW (more so on his behalf) but we won't go into that. Got the wipers working then the indicators decide to give up but it's all ok for the time being. The stereo has been rewired, the old twist and tape method doesn't cut it any more.
Just took her for a bit of a burn out of town and I have to admit that she and I both love the bendy country roads. 8) This ones gunna be a little bit of fun!
