I've been trying to rationalise my hobby of late, sell off some cars and just concentrate on a couple.
So with the sale of the Baja last week and the Hightop today, I thought I could combine the two aspects and build an offroad camper.

Last Friday I picked up a really clean '84 Panel van (sorry no pics yet  ) 1.9lt same as my Caravelle.

Today my rear springs arrived........

Late T3 Syncro 8) Which should give it a decent lift, I'm going to play with different front springs, word is V8 pus box work well so I got some to try out.

I've already got some 15" rims that I've machined to fit and hopefully be running some 225/75's on it.

Something along these lines......

It'll be a couple of weeks before I can really get stuck into it, but I'll try and keep things updated as I go.

Shit, sorry to offend you Ben, I've revised the title so you shouldn't get caught out accidently opening this thread.
I'm actually pretty excited about it and I find if I share what's going on, the feedback helps motivate me to get it done.

I'd love to see what plans you have for the Mrs Diesel Wagon, do share :P

8)

Perhaps you need the 16" syncro wheels to give it that extra bit of lift. 8)

Fair enough, that '89 is coming in the shed on Thursday for a tidy up, it'll be off to ebay on the weekend ;)

Sold some cars this week and got enough space to get this into the shed last night. Hopefully rego this week and then get stuck into it.

I'm thinking 3" lift, some 16x4's with some military style 6.00-16 bar treads. Simple bed conversion in the back.

Got rego this week, and took her for its first decent drive.
Very happy with how it goes.
