2nd Gen B2000 Mazduh

Post by Phat Bug »

As a few of you know I've been Co-hosting a Monthly Minitruck/Oldschool night meet up here.
It's been great averaging between 20-30 cars at a meet. Well it was bound to happen and the minitruck bug has bitten.

Found this early '80s Mazda B2000 locally, been in the same family from new, only 99,600kms........

Haven't done a great deal yet (don't have any spare time at the moment), but have got her running well, Micka gave me a hand to give it a very quick clean.......

I'm stoked with how straight and tidy it is, plan to polish her up, drop it down on some chrome 15's & I'll probably just enjoy it for a little while before moving on to the next one.

The page doesn't seem to have been updated in about 8 months, but last time I checked http://www.vicsbahn.com/wheels.htm had a few sets.

Shiny paint doesn't make it worth any more.

Gave her a final tidy up before Christmas & popped her on the interwebs for sale..........

She was snapped up quickly and on to her new owner in Adelaide. With plans to drop in a fuel injected 13B  Micka and I decided to deliver it as we needed to pick up something else in SA, stopped by the WW2 Fuel Storage tanks on the way.......

Onto the next victim??.......

Not sure yet, but a service body might make a cool shop truck...

Where are the WWII storage tanks?
No matter what happens they can't take you out in the street and shoot you....

"Located 13km ost of Bordertown, Wolseley and it's surroundng area is considered by many to be some of the best grain growing country in Australia with high yielding cereal crops, legumes and canola.

Once a bustling railway town where the Adelaide to melburg broad gauge line met the Mount Gambier narrow gauge line. All the freight had to be transferred from one train to the other across the platform.

It's well worth travelling to the western edge of town to see the World War II Fuel Storage Tanks (pictured). These tanks were constructed by the RAAF during World War II and camouflaged to look like farm buildings"
