Your Camera?

Post by Nafe »

There's most definitely some amazing shots in this forum.

So, lufters, what do you shoot with? Digital or otherwise, filters, lens etc.

And what's your experience? Self taught? PhD in arts?

I've bought myself a Nikon D80 Digital SLR with a 18-55 and a 55-200 VR Lens. Picked it up just after Christmas and I love it, after years of mucking around with my point and shoot.
All of my shots are just me trying to work out how the thing works, no filters etc. All I do is open them up in ACDsee and mess a bit with colour and contrast.
My shots are getting a little better now and will probably get better after I do my course and work out how to maximise the features of my cam.

I use a Canon 350D with the stock 18-55 lens, also have a 50mm f/1.8 II and a 75-300 which doesnt get much use. I really wanna get a good wide angle lens but cant afford it at the moment.

Ive also got a Holga, but I only use it rarely as its expensive to get developed, and ive got a Canon IXUS 60 that I just keep in my bag all the time

I use a Canon 40D with 17-85 lens at the moment, but would like a wide angle as well. Was shown a nice 10-22 lens the other day. Mmmm

For everyday use, and keep in the pocket occasions, I use my old Pentax Optio S5i

Got a new Sony Cybershot DSCW55 a couple of months ago.
awesome little camera (especially noticing the difference since my old camera was about 4 years old.)
I picked this one mainly for its awesome macro....now I can take pics of my little axolotls babies and they don't look like blurry tadpoles ;)

I just got a Lomography Fisheye 2 off ebay. I'm very happy, but the scans aren't as good quality!

I've got a Canon 350D (with battery Grip), 19-35 Tokina lens, Canon 100mm macro, Canon 50mm f1.8 lens and Zenitar 16mm fisheye lens. It does the job. wouldn't mind the 1Ds MKIII but far too pricey for me.

What do you think of the zenitar lens? Ive been looking at getting one for a while now but im not too sure about it. Thats the russian one isnt it? Is it full frame?

And wasser boy its best to have a SLR cause then you can change to a fisheye lens. Ive heard you can get attachments for regular digital cameras that give the fisheye effect but I wouldnt count on them being very good quality.
