My order got flagged by customs as it was very close to being over $1K.
That was the only thing that held it up for a couple of days.
Not to mention Brisbane orders always go into Sydney and then get dispatched to Bris however still about a week which is awesome.
Would love to spend my money locally but I just can't get all the parts I need from one place so it just isn't practical.

Yeah I've been buying local where I can however like you say you can not get everything you need from just one shop, then some of the prices are just ridiculous as well locally.

Couldn't be more cautious hitting buy this sale.

Who using who at the mo?

Vw heritage?
Just kampers?
Mick's motors?

I still get a lot my bits from Volkshome and vintage.

My 2 cents

I got some parts from VW Heritage recently, hit the free shipping as it was over $250, which is pretty good for UK. but they were out of stock of one item and it shipped 6 weeks later.
they had a special on wheels too, but they catch the oversize shipping and it worked out not much cheaper than locally.

I made the mistake of ordering from Classic Vee Dub a few months back.
No email confirmation, I sent upwards of 10 emails, finally got a tracking number via site login, was signed for in Adelaide (not me in Melbs).
tried ringing several times, never got through, no answer machine.
then out of nowhere, the parts turn up all correct, about 12 weeks after placing and paying for the order.
also, they don't quote freight, just add it to the total.

Just campers never have anything I want in stock.

Shipping is off the chart with cip1, I wish they had a sea freight option

Jeeves, are you talking about Justkampers Aus? If so don't bother - as you say, they never have anything in stock and what they do is overpriced.
I've used Justkampers UK a few times and always had great service from them with good prices and quick shipping.

My last order was for some panels from Virtanen in Finland. Service was excellent - the panels arrived within a couple of weeks. The panels themselves are good but not perfect. His website actually says they need finishing as he leaves them pretty raw to save costs. The main thing is that he makes panels that no one else does so if you need a pressed VW for a pre 49 beetle dash, he's your man!

I purchased a 36er muffler late last year. Went through And prices just lampreys aus and U.K. managed to get it purchased and shipped from justkampers U.K. For nearly $50 less than buying and transport here (including the conversion from £). Still doesn't seem logical in my eyes.
