SUMMER CITY RUMBLE 09

The 1st anual Summer City Rumble Hot Rod and Kustom show!HOT RODS ! SLEDS & BOBBERS !Its just sud of Newcastle at beautiful Catherine hill bay'and is being held at the bowling club on the 17th and 18th of january 2009(and hopefully every year from now on!)Do that Quiff ! put on those threads and Come and make this a great weekend with rocking rods and music! There will be pin-striping being done over the weekend so keep your eye out. *Saturday,Mystery cruise,show and shine,and evening dinner dance(pre booking limited) *Sunday,Live ROCKIN band the Flattrakkers,show and shine trophies,Market stalls including clothing, dvd's magazines and Hot Rod gear !
anyone making the trip ? ill be heading there on the sunday, dont know how big it will be as its the first one, sounds good enough though

Top spot for a show, but heading away on hols on Sunday. Seeing the Flattrakkers though on Saturday night with No Brakes at the Rockabilly Meltdown.

flat trackers always do a good set, ill be sure to post pics, ill be in convoy with my mate who recently purchased the 61 bug off egay

Morning all
Went up to Catherine Hill Bay on Sunday mornin and entered in the show n shine, to the suprise of all the hot rodders as I entered the gate.
Great day really, I recken I need a bit of support for next year tho.
Sunny, lots of cool cars and a beautiful spot. even managed to escape down to the beach for a surf.
The beetle was a hit with the kids and ladies....
I was parked next to a holden(to quote peppermintjones "i feel a bit of sick in my mouth") with a quad carbied 450 chev heaving out of it.
So I proudly opened my little lid and unvailed the wonder of the standard 1200......
I think i heard a few sniggers and reference to lawn mowers and so on. I left the car to defend for itself and went around with the camera.
Here are a few shots, will load more later in the week.

still trying to find some pics as my camera shit itself, heres one of the fasty and my mates newly acquired 61 which will get hit with the lowering stick once he gets the motor and the brakes sorted

Sorry Nafe you will have to let you tug by yourself. Missus has plans for today already.
I will be heading to the NRMA motorfeast in the city tomorrow though.
