Sydney run to Melburg Jamboree
Propose meet at McDonalds/Service Station Cnr of Camden Valley Way and Ash Road, Prestons. (at the intersection of M5, M7 & Hume HWY)

Leaving bright and early would ensure getting into melburg with time to settle in the arvo.

I've had a look at places to stay, the best seems to be this one (below)
A space is $30 a night with shower/toilet facilites. Each space has a large level concrete slab to park on as well as grass and power.

Park is a short trip from the show venue, up Frankston Dandenong Rd / Stud Rd.

That weekend is a busy time for them, i've been told to let them know how many sites we may need so that they can be set aside. I'm happy to organise this if people let me know numbers.

Dutchy I am thinking leave early Sat morning. Real real early.

Depart Melb for return Monday morning - real early.

Dave we gotta talk about it I guess. I thought Saturday depart was better for you?

Anyone know what time it wraps up? Maybe a Sunday afternoon departure makes more sense - stop off 1/2 way and finish real early Monday.

Guys,
your dedication to the scene is truly an inspiration.
How long does the trip take in a Beetle, and what is your average cruising speed ? Do you go in one car or several ?

I am embarrassed to say my car hasnt really been out of the Sydney Metro area since I got it, much less an interstate road trip.

Wayne.
Should take 10 or so hours, it takes me 8hrs in a 2004 rodeo. I do this trip every month or so.
Do the speed of the slowest in group, trying to get as many cars as possible, me and the mrs may drive one each.
I normally bring a big bag of tools, just in case......no not that kind!
Saturday early is good
