Leaving bright and early would ensure getting into melburg with time to settle in the arvo.
I've had a look at places to stay, the best seems to be this one (below)
A space is $30 a night with shower/toilet facilites. Each space has a large level concrete slab to park on as well as grass and power.
Park is a short trip from the show venue, up frankston Dandenong Rd / Stud Rd.
That weekend is a busy time for them, i've been told to let them know how many sites we may need so that they can be set aside. I'm happy to organise this if people let me know numbers.

Meet @ Servo/Maccas cnr of Camden Valley Way & Ash rd Prestons 4.00am for 4.15am sharp departure
Quick Brekky/regroup at Goulburn sud maccas approx 6am, then on to Melburg
Probably stop near Broadford to regroup for the final leg in...

Yeah we made it back no dramas
although i think i'm now running on 3.5 cylinders, ran sweet all the way till i hit the traffic in campbeltown then ran hot and lumpy all the way home... will do that rebuild one day
