WANTED : 1600 or higher twin/dual port engine
hey, im looking for a 1600 twin port (or dual port, as some prefer).
It can be in pieces, missing bits, anything, just after one i can work on and do up while i drive in mine.
Im not too good with money, but i can offer panelbeating in trade, or panelbeating with some money, depends on the size of the job of course.
if you have something that might do, give me a call on 0434621084. or pm.
also, once i get the 1600 twin port in my car, the single port 1600 thats in it now will no longer be needed, so i could do a trade in on the single port. its running, just had a service, timing done, oil changed, valves adjusted. not very strong, but very reliable. never had any trouble with it.
but obviously, i would use the fan shroud and tinware from my 1600, so if i got a 1600 twin port with no tinware and no genny and no genny stand, i would use that stuff from my 1600 before the trade.
only mentioning it so no-one gets the wrong idea.

yes, it does differ, but what i mean to say is, i reserve the right to keep tinware from my old 1600 before i trade it on another 1600.
when you think about it, if someone out there has a 1600 twin port laying around, you could give it to me, and say 6 months later you would get a fully working 1600 single port in return.... and whatever else you were after, like some cash or panelbeating.. good way to turn a not working 1600 into a working one, as long as you dont mind the wait.

yea, fair enough.
im just sick or being blasted by brent, i cant even keep up to his oval, when i pull up next to him he always has enough to pull away.
and the last straw was when brent and i went for a cruise to get engines tuned, and 2 very attractive betties drove straight past my beetle to ogle at his!! and when they went to leave us in the dust, brents beetle was actually able to keep pace!! that was the last straw, next time a pair of lovely ladies want to look at the 'cute' beetle, i wanna get my share of blowing kisses.

got one that im probably not going to need.
coming out of a 74 superbeetle, not working, im not 100% sure whats wrong with it but i can tell you how it became to be not working as it happened just today.
so i was driving down the hume highway going to seymor for work, just cruising at 110, everything was running fine 15min later car starts getting real hot, so i slow it down a tad until i got to the servo, let it cooldown till i could touch it, pull out of the servo strange clacking sounds come outa the engine im totally wtf and so i pull over. get going again after thinkn it was just over heating... then CLANG CLANG THUMP boom... smoke fills up in the car i stop the car and thats how my morning went terribly wrong.
i think the problem is a broken crankcase? dunno if u want it or not
cheers
